The brief was to gain permission to demolish the existing smaller house and then build a new larger house in its place that will better suit the needs of the current owners.

The new house has a 40% increase in footprint and will be constructed from ICF. Externally it will be clad in both render and black timber cladding and will resemble a contemporary barn. Internally it will be very much open plan living with large volumes of space and a feature staircase.
